A quilter and seamstress who lived in the Madison, Wisconsin area had amassed a very large collection of sewing machines, selling implements and also owned thousands of yards of Quilting Fabric before her untimely death. Now her widower is putting all of these items on the auction block to help benefits a local Catholic school. The auction will likely take a great number of hours and is expected to last all day after starting at ten in the morning. Some of the items that will be hitting the auction block include a massive number of sewing machines that the woman had collected for years and had actually used as a part of her love of selling and being a seamstress. Other items to be included in the option include over one thousand spools of thread and a significant number of supplies designed to make dolls.
This seamstress died in 2005 and had originally taken up selling after are 19 year old son died in a motorcycle crash in the early eighties. She generally gave her artistic creations away instead of selling them. It is expected that the option will also include items already created by the seamstress and not just the implements needed to create things like quilts, dolls and other sewn creations.
